HOW TO OPEN A GREEN COCONUT

  • 1 hammer

  1. The coconut must be opened by the part that contains the exit of the stem, but first it is necessary to cut the other side to form a flat base and give it firmness.
  2. Measure 2 fingers on the edge of the coconut, insert the dome and rotate downwards. Remember, always use the knife towards the bench in case it slips out.
  3. Keep cutting until the base comes free.
  4. Now that the base is ready, the coconut will be firm and it’s time to open the side of the stalk.
  5. Repeat the above operation, holding the coconut and turning the knife.
  6. If the cut is still not enough, cut another thin layer.
  7. Now it’s better to open this “little” with your hands.
  8. Place a bowl or cup in the coconut’s mouth and rotate to remove the water.
