Persimmon: everything you need to know

The persimmon , also called rosewood or persimmon , is a tree of the ebony family that has been cultivated in China and Japan since the 8th century and has adapted perfectly to the Mediterranean climate.

It is a slow-growing tree during the first years but later it can reach 12-13 meters in height.

The persimmon is a late bloomer that allows it to get through the late spring frosts without any problem.
