Shitake production is the central theme of workshops in Monte Alegre do Sul/SP

In February 2014, several meetings of researchers from the São Paulo Agribusiness Technology Agency (APTA) were held in Monte Alegre do Sul/SP on the production of the shiitake mushroom . The workshop dealt with subjects such as mushroom cultivation, discussed notions of hygiene, smoking and hydration techniques, gastronomic tips and product maintenance.
The shitake is one of the most consumed mushroom in the world, being grown on logs and blocks, with a consumer market in Ignition and strong medicinal properties, being an activity not only profitable, but also therapy.
According to Daniel Gomes, a researcher at APTA, the techniques discussed in the meetings were fundamental for the producers to find out about new ways of applying the product, in addition, of course, to discovering how to reuse it.
After the meetings, dinners were offered, and the main menus were based on the shiitake mushroom.
